We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to grow into a leadership role at Fairways, our friendly and supportive older persons residential service in Grimsby, Lincolnshire.

As part of The HICA Group, you'll lead by example supporting your team, ensuring high standards of care, and making a real difference in the lives of our residents.

Pay & Hours:

  • £14.82 per hour
  • 33 hours per week
  • Choose between day or night shifts to suit your lifestyle.
  • Rota includes weekends (every other weekend)

About You:

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in care, ideally with NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
  • Medication trained
  • Confident in supervising others and managing workloads
  • A strong team player with a positive, proactive attitude.

The Role:

As a Team Leader, you'll oversee the care team and ensure the safe and effective delivery of care, support, and medication during your shift. With guidance from the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager and support from our experienced team you'll have the opportunity to get to know our residents and their needs before transitioning to night shifts (if applicable).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coaching and mentoring new and existing staff
  • Reviewing and updating care plans
  • Preparing, administering, storing, and recording medication
  • Providing personal care (e.g. washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
  • Promoting independence and enhancing residents' quality of life
  • Maintaining professional relationships with residents' families
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately.

Fairways Care Home is a modern, purpose-built residential and dementia care home located on Little Coates Road in Grimsby. Part of the HICA Group, our not-for-profit organisation is dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that supports residents to live fulfilling and meaningful lives. Fairways provides accommodation for up to 55 residents and offers both long-term and respite care in a warm, welcoming environment.
