We are looking for hard-working, committed and professional individuals to join our growing team as a Head Cook at The Lodge, based in Chorley! The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

Pay & hours:

  • £14.50 per hour
  • 32 hours per week
  • Working on a rota covering Monday to Sunday
  • Alternate weekends

The role:

  • Provide planned meals to a high culinary standard with emphasis on presentation and quality, ensuring nutritional value and the dietetic needs are met.
  • Ensure that allergen safety is adhered to.
  • Receive, check and store deliveries in line with the HACCP procedures.
  • Train staff working in a catering function in the use of all equipment which they are required to use, within their delegated responsibilities and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard as per HACCP.

About you:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation & Cooking, or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 12 months experience of working in a professional kitchen setting
  • Able to work unsupervised and to use own initiative
  • Knowledge and understanding of HACCP is desirable but not essential.
