Make a Real Impact This Summer – Join HICA as a Senior Homecare Worker!
We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Homecare Worker to join our Grimsby Homecare Team and support a new contract launching on 1 October. You’ll need to be available to start before this date to attend our induction and begin making a difference. In this role, you’ll support Service Users and Homecare Workers—delivering care, mentoring staff, and ensuring high standards across the board.
Note: A UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential due to the nature of the role. The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.
Pay & Hours
- Rate: £12.82 per hour
- Hours: 24 hours per week
- Shifts: Day & Night shifts available
- Rota: Set 3-week rolling rota (including weekends)
Day Shifts (Systems Resilience Team):
- 8:00am to 8:00pm
- Contracted hours
- Responding to emergency calls
- Supporting hospital discharges while permanent care is arranged with the geographical care agency
Night Shifts:
- 7:00pm to 7:00am
- Contracted hours
- Planned care, safety checks, and emergency response throughout the night
The Role
- Deliver high-quality care and respond to emergency call-outs
- Mentor and supervise Homecare Workers, including competency checks and medication assessments
- Support new staff during their induction period
- Build strong relationships with Service Users and families
- Complete care plans, reviews, and risk assessments
- Promote independence and signpost to community services
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies
- Liaise with management, professionals, and families to ensure quality care
About You
- Level 2 Qualification in Care (minimum)
- Experience in care and administering medication
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office
- Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car
