At The HICA Group, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care and support to individuals across our community. We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Care Coordinator to join our Doncaster Homecare Branch, ensuring high-quality, personalised care services for our clients.

Pay & Hours

Rate of pay: £13.56 per hour

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Shift pattern: 06:45 – 15:15 or 09:00 – 17:30, with 1 in 3 weekend availability.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Planning, developing, and maintaining person-centred and outcome-based services, ensuring rotas are designed for effective service delivery.
  • Monitoring recruitment needs within your geographical area and communicating weekly updates to the Registered Manager.
  • Managing services in accordance with relevant legislation, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards.
  • Developing strong relationships with service users, their families/representatives, and other professionals or agencies involved.
  • Producing accurate electronic and written records, including daily reports, aligned with company policies and GDPR requirements.
  • Participating in the on-call rota to meet operational demands and personally covering care calls in the event of staff shortages.
  • Responding to, and reporting, any concerns or complaints in line with company procedures.
  • Preparing management reports and providing relevant information as required.
  • Liaising with community organisations and stakeholders to strengthen service delivery.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience providing support within a care setting, administering medication, and using equipment.
  • Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment, support planning, and a person-centred approach.
  • A Level 2/3 Diploma in Care or another relevant qualification, such as a Care Certificate (desirable).

Additional Requirements

Applicants must have access to their own transport to attend community-based work and will receive a fuel allowance.

Flexibility is required, as this role involves working some weekends on a rota basis.

HICA Homecare has proudly served Doncaster since 1999, delivering high-quality home care and support for vulnerable people aged 18 and over. We provide more than 2,000 hours of care each week in areas such as Moorends, Thorne, Stainforth, Hatfield, Barnby Dunn, Intake, Armthorpe and Askern.

Our service promotes independence and social interaction, working closely with local authorities and community teams. We offer a range of care and support, including respite care, personal care, social visits, help with domestic chores, shopping assistance and help with finances—all tailored to your unique needs and wishes, helping you remain independent at home.

HICA is a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation providing a range of care services to older people and people with learning difficulties both within residential and nursing homes and within the community.
