Are you ready to take on a rewarding role and make a lasting impact in your community? We\’re expanding our Home Care Team across Hull and surrounding areas, including Bransholme, East Hull, and Ings, and we’re looking for caring, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join us.

In this role, you’ll help promote independence and empower people to make informed decisions about their care — all while making a real difference every day.

Due to the range of locations, having a valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable.

The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

Pay & Hours

  • £12.56 per hour.
  • Receive £24p for every mile you drive between calls as a fuel allowance.
  • Guaranteed 16‑hour contract, with up to 40 hours if you want.
  • Morning & Evening shifts available (7am‑2pm or 4pm‑10pm) – working alternative weekends.
  • Block pay contracts.

The Role

As a Home Care Worker, you would deliver high quality care, visiting service users in their own homes. You would be responsible for ensuring they remain independent for as long as possible. This would involve preparing meals, personal care, assisting with medications, shopping – ensuring all their needs are met that are outlined in their own personal care plan. No two care plans are the same; each Service User is an individual and care plans are written according to their needs.

HICA Homecare – Hull and East Riding currently deliver approximately 2000 hours of care each week to adults in the community who require care and support services.

Our priority is ensuring that each of our customers receive an outcome‑based support plan tailored to their needs, and supported by our dedicated Care and Support Workers to help them maintain their independence at home.

HICA is a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation providing a range of care services to older people and people with learning difficulties both within residential and nursing homes and within the community.

Successful candidates will need to complete an Enhanced DBS Check.
