Location and Travel: This role is primarily based in our Bristol office, centrally located. It requires occasional travel to our London headquarters (approximately two days per month) and additional travel to support and deliver events as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and delivery of in-person and virtual events that strengthen client relationships and support the sales pipeline.
- Build and deliver email communications to audiences that raise brand awareness, showcase content, and promote insurance services.
- Support the marketing team to deliver multi-platform campaigns across print, digital, social, podcasting, and video.
- Monitor campaign and event performance to gather insights and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in producing marketing collateral, research, copywriting, and liaising with internal and external agencies including designers and print suppliers.
- Write and edit internal and external communications such as thought-leadership articles and newsletters.
- Coordinate marketing operations and administration: order branded marketing materials and merchandise, manage content and image libraries, audit and update marketing literature.
- Assist in the development of the Howden brand, ensuring it is applied effectively and consistently.
- Help manage company digital and social channels, e.g., website, LinkedIn, internal SharePoint sites, and intranet systems.
Skills & Attributes:
- Approximately 1-3 years of experience in a marketing role, either in-house or agency.
- University degree, marketing qualifications (e.g., CIM), apprenticeships, or relevant work experience.
- Enthusiastic, personable, a great teammate with a flexible, 'can-do' demeanor.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external partners.
- Experience planning and executing successful in-person and/or virtual events.
- Strong written communication skills, preferably with business-related audience experience.
- Efficient and thorough project-management approach with attention to detail.
- Self-starter, proactive, and able to work off own initiative.
- Proficiency in major business packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Understanding of social media best practice and community management.
- Understanding of website and email management, including use of CMS and CRM systems.
