To support this commitment, Hibernian is recruiting a Maintenance Operative with specific skills in painting to join the Operations Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the upkeep and presentation of the stadium and facilities, carrying out painting and decorating work to a high standard while contributing to the overall maintenance and appearance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the interior and exterior fabric of club buildings at Easter Road Stadium and at the Hibernian Training Centre.
  • Primary focus on painting and decorating of public areas of stadium bowl, general areas, offices, function suites and training centre.
  • Supporting the Stadium Staff on general repairs around the Stadium and Training centre.
  • Undertaking duties as assigned or emergency tasks such as shovelling snow and gritting in the winter.
  • Completing all works to a high standard, in a competent manner and leaving the site of works in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Liaising with other staff and external contractors in a positive and cooperative manner to ensure timely and proper completion of works.
  • Ensuring appropriate and timely completion of all paperwork, job/time sheets and certification.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participating as a member of keyholder service for the stadium, taking turns in opening and closing the stadium on event days.
  • Carrying out matchday duties to provide a safe environment for the operation of a professional football match alongside the club’s safety team.
  • Acting in accordance with the Club’s rules, policies, procedures, and ethos.

Person Specification:

  • Skilled General Maintenance Person.
  • Experience in Painting and Decorating.
  • Willing to work unsociable hours, weekends and evenings when required.
  • Excellent time keeping, honesty and reliability.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
  • Full and Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Safe use and operation of machinery.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within building maintenance.
  • Prepared to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Committed and enthusiastic approach to work.
