Job Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Manager and in line with company strategy and overarching goals set by operations director, you will have day to day responsibility for the running of the warehouse operation. Managing all warehouse activities including goods inwards, picking and associated activities, loading and general housekeeping in the warehouse. Ensuring that the relevant productivity, quality and accuracy performance indicators are met.
How You Will Make a Difference:
- Organise training for team members and monitor performance and progress.
- Responsible for continual improvement of processes of the warehouse operating processes.
- Responsible for the daily running of the warehouse operations team, delegating tasks where necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
- Responsible for the management, development and motivation of the team.
- Effective communication skills at all levels of the business across all departments, positive participation in team meetings.
- Provide operational data and demonstrate the ability to analyse and communicate findings, putting corrective actions into place where necessary.
- Support with other activities to ensure the smooth running of the distribution centre.
- Actively assist with any additional duties where required and as required by your line manager & director.
- Commit to the company annual review process and complete mandatory training when required.
- Strictly adhere to health & safety practices, manual handling practices, handling equipment regulations and the correct use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
