Our Client, a Chambers ranked Band 1 firm, is seeking a talented Litigation Associate (2+ PQE) to join its market-leading disputes practice in London. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile, complex, and cross-border disputes for leading financial institutions, multinational corporations, and sovereign clients. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded team handling matters before the High Court and other major dispute resolution forums.
Key Requirements
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction with the ability to practise in England & Wales.
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in commercial litigation, banking litigation, civil fraud, or a related disputes practice.
- Fluent Portuguese language skills (written and spoken), with the ability to review documents, communicate with clients and witnesses, and work effectively on matters involving Portuguese-speaking jurisdictions.
- Strong experience in High Court litigation, including familiarity with:
- Statements of case
- Disclosure exercises
- Witness statements
- Expert evidence
- Interim applications
- Trial preparation
- Experience managing large-scale document reviews and coordinating with international counsel.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Advising clients on complex commercial and cross-border disputes.
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications, and other court documents.
- Managing disclosure and evidence-gathering exercises.
- Coordinating with clients, counsel, experts, and overseas lawyers.
- Assisting with strategic case management and trial preparation.
