An elite US law firm is seeking a talented Leveraged Finance Associate to join its market-leading London team. The team advises private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, direct lenders and investment banks on a broad range of complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions. Associates are given significant responsibility from an early stage and work directly with leading partners on some of the most high-profile deals in the market.

The Role

  • You will advise on a wide range of leveraged finance transactions, including:
    • Acquisition financings
    • Sponsor-backed leveraged buyouts
    • Refinancings and recapitalisations
    • Unitranche and direct lending transactions
    • Cross-border syndicated financings
    • General corporate lending matters

The role offers exposure to premium clients, sophisticated transactions and a genuinely international platform.

Candidate Requirements

  • England & Wales qualified lawyer with between 2–6 years' PQE
  • Strong leveraged finance experience gained at a leading UK, US or international law firm
  • Experience acting for private equity sponsors, lenders or borrowers on complex financing transactions
  • Excellent technical, drafting and transaction management skills
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Commercially minded with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
