Are you a recent graduate with a knack for and an interest in managing and building relationships? Ready to kickstart your career in recruitment with a purpose-driven, ethical firm where you get out what you put in? HIA Legal wants YOU!

Who We Are

Since our founding in 2016 by an ex-Magic Circle Senior Banking & Finance Lawyer and seasoned recruiters, HIA Legal has built a stellar reputation for transparent, results-focused recruitment. We partner with top City and US law firms and a diverse range of in-house clients, delivering intelligent market insights and a service rooted in integrity. Our mission? To fuel the growth of our clients and empower the careers of our candidates.

The Role: Associate Recruiter

As an associate Recruiter at HIA Legal, you’ll dive into the fast-paced world of legal recruitment, working closely with prestigious law firms and innovative in-house teams in the UK and US. This is not just about filling roles - it’s about building relationships, understanding the legal market, and making a real impact on careers and businesses.

What You’ll Do

  • Source and engage top-tier legal talent through creative and proactive methods.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates and clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Provide market intelligence (aided by our proprietary CRM and AI systems) to support hiring decisions and career moves.
  • Collaborate with our experienced team to deliver exceptional recruitment outcomes.
  • Grow your expertise in the legal sector with hands-on mentorship and training.

Who You Are

  • A recent graduate (any discipline) with a keen interest in recruitment and the legal / financial / tech sectors.
  • A natural communicator with strong interpersonal skills and an eye for building relationships.
  • Ambitious, curious, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Ethical, professional, and committed to delivering outstanding service.
  • A team player who thrives on collaboration and wants to grow with a dynamic firm.
  • A background in sport has historically been a good indicator of all of the above. Not essential but the majority of the office has an interest in sport which provides common ground but is also a good platform to learn the transferable skills we are looking for (as we are not looking for any specific experience).

These sound like clichés but we will know and you will know if this is a fit after one conversation.

Why HIA Legal?

  • Impactful Work: Be part of a firm that values integrity and meaningful results over being just another “headhunter.” We have taken on four new consultants in the last year who are all smashing it.
  • Career Growth: Receive hands-on training and mentorship from industry experts to fast-track your career. As a small team we are able to provide bespoke pathways for junior consultants - Take this from our recent junior hires.
  • Vibrant Culture: Join a supportive, ambitious team in the heart of London. We believe this works both ways - we respect and promote flexibility from day one but have a strong office-based culture. It's a fun place to be when times are good, which they often are.
  • Market Exposure: Work with leading law firms and in-house clients, gaining unparalleled insight into the legal sector.
  • Future Opportunities: Build a foundation for a rewarding career in recruitment or the wider legal / financial services / tech / people-focused industries.
  • Travel Opportunities: We work across UK, ME, Australian, and US markets providing the opportunity (but not obligation) to gain exposure on the ground across the globe.
