ROOFING OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for an experienced

Roofer to join our growing property maintenance and construction team, supporting customers across

Bristol and the wider South West .

This is a varied mobile role covering reactive repairs, planned works and larger roofing projects across commercial and hospitality properties.

You’ll work across a range of roofing systems including tiled and slated pitched roofs, flat roofing, GRP and leadwork.

You’ll be trusted to investigate defects properly, complete repairs to a high standard and identify when more extensive works are required.

You’ll also support our estimating and operational teams by clearly scoping defects, identifying materials and providing accurate information from site.

Because this is a mobile role covering customer sites across the South West, a full UK driving licence is essential . Ideally, you’ll be based in or around

Bristol or the BS postcode area .

Responsibilities

• Carrying out reactive roofing repairs across commercial and hospitality customer sites.
• Completing repairs to tiled and slated pitched roofs.
• Carrying out flat-roof repairs and maintenance.
• Undertaking GRP, leadwork and associated roofing repairs.
• Diagnosing leaks, defects and recurring roofing issues.
• Inspecting and scoping roofing works and providing clear information to estimating and operational teams.
• Producing accurate lists of required materials and identifying when larger or specialist works are needed.
• Working alongside the existing roofing and building teams on larger repairs, alterations and project works.
• Communicating professionally with customers during works and explaining practical options where appropriate.
• Completing clear job notes, photographs and site information.
• Working safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures and site requirements.
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe throughout the job.
• Supporting other operatives and trades where required.
• Travelling regularly between customer sites across Bristol and the wider South West.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced roofer who can work confidently and independently in a mobile commercial-maintenance environment.

A full UK driving licence is essential , as you will be required to drive a company vehicle between customer sites across Bristol and the wider South West.

You’ll ideally have

• Proven roofing experience within construction, property maintenance or a similar environment.
• Strong practical experience with tiled and slated pitched roofs.
• Experience carrying out flat-roof repairs and maintenance.
• Experience with GRP and leadwork.
• Good fault-finding skills and the ability to identify the source of leaks and roofing defects.
• The ability to scope works accurately and identify required materials.
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• A professional approach when working in occupied customer premises.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to organise and manage a varied mobile workload.
• full UK driving licence – essential .
• A CSCS card – preferred.
