DRIVER & LABOURER in Portsmouth

We’re looking for an experienced

Labourer to join our growing property maintenance and construction team.

This is a varied mobile role supporting both reactive maintenance and project works across commercial and hospitality properties throughout Southern England.

You’ll work alongside our building and multi-trade teams, helping to keep jobs moving safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The role will involve general labouring as well as supporting works including groundworks, brickwork, building repairs and refurbishment projects.

Because this is a mobile position, a full UK driving licence is essential . Ideally, you’ll be based in or around

Portsmouth , giving you good access to our customer sites across Hampshire and the wider South East.

Responsibilities

• Supporting trades and project teams with general labouring activities.
• Assisting with groundworks, brickwork and general building works.
• Preparing work areas, materials, tools and equipment.
• Loading, unloading and moving materials safely around sites.
• Supporting reactive maintenance and refurbishment works at customer premises.
• Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe throughout the job.
• Working effectively alongside builders, multi-trades and specialist contractors.
• Following company Health & Safety procedures and site-specific requirements.
• Keeping supervisors and relevant stakeholders informed of progress or issues.
• Representing Hi-Tech professionally when working at customer premises.
• Travelling between customer sites across Hampshire and Southern England as required.

About You

We’re looking for someone practical, dependable and comfortable working across a variety of customer sites.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role , as you will be required to drive a company vehicle between jobs and customer locations.

You’ll ideally have

• Previous experience in a labouring, construction or property maintenance environment.
• Experience supporting groundworks, brickwork or general building activities.
• A practical approach and willingness to turn your hand to different tasks.
• The ability to work safely and follow site procedures.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach around customers.
• The ability to organise your workload and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and a willingness to take responsibility for your work.
• A full UK driving licence – essential .
• A CSCS card – preferred but not essential.

We would ideally like the successful candidate to be based in or around Portsmouth , although we will consider candidates from the surrounding area who can comfortably travel across our operating region.
