About Us
Hi-Tech Property Services Ltd is an established property maintenance and construction business delivering reactive maintenance, planned maintenance and project works to commercial clients across the South and Southwest of England.
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Manager to manage the day-to-day running of our Electrical Department and act as the company's NICEIC Qualified Supervisor.
This is predominantly an office-based management position, providing technical leadership and operational support to a team of six directly employed electricians.
The Role
You will ensure the efficient delivery of electrical maintenance services, maintain high technical standards, support customer relationships, and monitor departmental performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and supervising six directly employed electricians and associated subcontractors.
- Overseeing reactive electrical maintenance, repairs, fault-finding and minor installation works.
- Planning and coordinating electrical workloads alongside our operational teams.
- Acting as the company's NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, subject to NICEIC acceptance.
- Ensuring electrical works comply with BS 7671, the Electricity at Work Regulations and relevant standards.
- Reviewing electrical certificates, inspection reports and EICRs.
- Undertaking technical audits, quality inspections and occasional site visits.
- Preparing and reviewing quotations and remedial recommendations.
- Monitoring departmental costs, productivity, performance and profitability.
- Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing technical assistance when required.
- Supporting the development, competence and training of the electrical workforce.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Recognised Level 3 electrical installation qualification or accepted equivalent.
- Current knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Appropriate inspection and testing qualifications relevant to our scope of work.
- Minimum two years' technical supervisory responsibility for electrical work.
- Experience in commercial electrical maintenance and fault finding.
- Ability to demonstrate the competence required for NICEIC Qualified Supervisor approval.
- Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Previous appointment as a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor.
- Experience managing a reactive electrical maintenance department.
- Experience preparing quotations and managing departmental budgets.
- Knowledge of electrical maintenance within hospitality, leisure or commercial property environments.
- Experience using JobLogic or similar maintenance management software.
