Hi-Rise Bread Co. is hiring Counter Shift Leads! Counter Shift Leads ensure the effective operation of the customer-facing functions of the business by working on all day-to-day aspects of the counter while leading opening and/or closing shifts. They work 4-5 shifts per week (28-40 hours) while excelling in all areas of job performance. They are proficient baristas and are able to work shifts at farmers markets (May-November).
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- SHIFT LEAD Lead Counter Staff and Counter Support Staff to ensure the effective performance of all operational areas – quality standards, customer service, product knowledge, workflow procedures, etc.
- Lead the execution of daily tasks, including setup and breakdown of product displays, outdoor dining equipment, cleaning, restocking, and side work.
- Order intake and inventory management as needed, including incoming deliveries (milk, coffee, etc.) and internal products (frozen foods, refrigerator organization, etc.).
- Able to help customers who have complaints and would like to speak to someone in a leadership position.
- Attend leadership meetings.
CUSTOMER INTERFACE + ORDER MANAGEMENT
- Exhibit exemplary customer service in person and over the phone from order placement through pickup.
- Fluency with our menus and point-of-sale system to allow for smooth and efficient transactions.
- Knowledge across all product categories to sufficiently answer customer questions, supported by a thoughtful personal experience with products.
- Ability to work as a shift’s primary barista.
- Ability to perform all aspects of a farmers’ market shift, including market packing and preparation, market setup, customer interface, order processing, and market breakdown.
Experience in a front-of-house role at a café or restaurant is required, ideally with barista experience and in a supervisory capacity. Good candidates for Counter Shift Leads are those who can commit to a year or more of work. Counter Shift Leads receive a competitive base salary and excellent tips.
