Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians.
- Assign tasks and monitor workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs.
- Diagnosing complex mechanical issues and performing advanced repairs when necessary.
- Inspect equipment and vehicles to identify maintenance needs.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and maintenance logs.
- Order and manage parts, tools, and inventory.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules.
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Communicate with management regarding repair timelines, costs, and equipment status.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred).
- 5+ years of mechanical experience (industry-specific experience may be required).
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, on-site.
- Standard Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch).
- Additional hours may be required for increased workloads, time-sensitive repairs, internal customer needs, and occasional night or weekend coverage.
Work Environment
- Working conditions may include temperature and humidity extremes, frequent exposure to noise and vibration, variable lighting conditions, and occasional independent work.
- Extended or irregular work hours.
Travel
- Up to 25%. Travel may be required to support other locations or road crews.
Physical Requirements
- Continuous: Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive hand motions, hearing, speaking clearly, visual acuity, color distinction, driving.
- Occasional: Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
