Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians.
  • Assign tasks and monitor workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs.
  • Diagnosing complex mechanical issues and performing advanced repairs when necessary.
  • Inspect equipment and vehicles to identify maintenance needs.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Order and manage parts, tools, and inventory.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and best practices.
  • Communicate with management regarding repair timelines, costs, and equipment status.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred).
  • 5+ years of mechanical experience (industry-specific experience may be required).
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, on-site.
  • Standard Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch).
  • Additional hours may be required for increased workloads, time-sensitive repairs, internal customer needs, and occasional night or weekend coverage.

Work Environment

  • Working conditions may include temperature and humidity extremes, frequent exposure to noise and vibration, variable lighting conditions, and occasional independent work.
  • Extended or irregular work hours.

Travel

  • Up to 25%. Travel may be required to support other locations or road crews.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous: Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive hand motions, hearing, speaking clearly, visual acuity, color distinction, driving.
  • Occasional: Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
