About The Role
We have ongoing job opportunies for a Night Security Concierge to join our team with our clients homeless hostel in Tunbridge Wells Kent. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Resident Support:
- Provide a welcoming and supportive presence to residents throughout the night.
- Respond to resident needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Monitor and challenge anti-social behaviour to maintain a safe and peaceful environment for all residents.
- Assist residents with any immediate needs, such as accessing essential supplies.
- Security and Safety:
- Conduct regular security checks of the premises.
- Monitor CCTV footage and respond to any incidents.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all residents and staff.
- Implement emergency procedures as required.
- Light Cleaning Duties:
- Maintain general cleanliness of communal areas and the office.
- Assist with light cleaning tasks as required.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of nightly events and incidents.
- Prepare daily reports for the day shift.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience working with vulnerable adults, preferably within a homeless or supported housing setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills.
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- First Aid and/or Mental Health First Aid training.
- Conflict resolution training.
- Experience of working with individuals with complex needs (e.g., substance misuse, mental health issues).
- Valid SIA Badge.
Shift Pattern
- 22:00 - 08:00
- Shift work may include weekends and bank holidays.
