We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice wanting to develop a career as a Rural Chartered Surveyor. You will learn and gain experience in valuation, professional advice, sales and lettings, property management, environmental schemes, researching information together with other general office duties whilst taking the apprentice surveyor pathway, to achieve your professional qualification and complete your APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) to become a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Based in our Carlisle office, you would be joining a team of dedicated professionals who work closely with the rural community to advise clients across the North of England. You will assist in providing a comprehensive range of services and gain experience in all areas of land agency. H&H Land & Estates is part of the H&H Group and our vision is to add value and help protect the economies we serve.
You must be driven, well organised, have good time management skills and be able to jump between projects as necessary. You will be proactive, enthusiastic and eager to play a part in a growing team.
You will need to have:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels
- Good report writing and presentation skills
- Good numerical analytical skills, including the use of Excel and other tools
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- The ability to work as part of a team but also have the ability to work on your own initiative
- A full driving licence
- The willingness to learn and undertake an apprenticeship course to gain the relevant professional qualifications
With agreement you will undertake a five-year training programme (Level 6 Apprenticeship), which includes a part time undergraduate degree (5 years) and an APC training programme (2 years) leading to become a Chartered Surveyor with an MRICS qualification. On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully.
