H&H Auction Rooms is part of the H&H Group and is one of the longest established auction houses in the north of England. We are looking for an additional member to join our busy auction house team, based at Rosehill, Carlisle.
Responsibilities:
- Accepting goods and chattels for sale and ensuring that all information in relation to the sale procedure is recorded.
- Maintaining the auction room in accordance with agreed standards of merchandising and assisting customers during public viewing.
- Assisting in the presentation and handling of goods during auction days.
The role involves lifting and carrying furniture and heavy goods so the successful candidate will be physically fit. They should have the ability to communicate at all levels and have a confident approach to the role. In addition, if the successful applicant is interested in developing the role, they will be encouraged to undertake wider aspects of the saleroom function such as marketing and social media. It is important that we find the right candidate for the role so we would consider applications on a full or part time basis.
