Your role within the team:
- Supporting the Supply Operations Team in conjunction with cross functional team to source new and existing finished products and packaging across various brands in the UK and EU.
- Building strategic relationships with key suppliers and negotiating contracts/pricing to support commercial goals and margins
Key Responsibilities:
- Key member of NPD project team, working with Head of UK Operations to support new launches. Sourcing of new finished products, packaging and raw materials and vendor services at the most economical costs aligned with business ethics and values
- Work in conjunction with NPD, Regulatory and Quality to evaluate/engage Contract Manufacturers
- Handle tender processes including RFIs and RFQs (Requests for information and requests for quotation)
- Negotiate with suppliers to meet Service, Cost, Quality, Sustainability, and Innovation objectives and ensure supplier performance and product delivery as per project timelines
- Review performance metrics and lead documented initiatives to improve ongoing performance.
- Continuously monitoring, evaluating, and improving supplier performance
- Lead monthly performance reviews with cross-functional teams to evaluate progress, identify areas for improvement and establish actionable objectives that align with NPD goals
- Maintain COGS master file for all stock-related prices, including packaging, packing, bulk, tolling and finished goods
- Resolve challenges (supply or relationship) as identified or escalated.
- Monitor and review material exposure and excess inventory with suppliers. Determine strategies and alignment with suppliers to reduce financial risk and minimise waste.
- Manage Supplier Risks and Opportunities for H&H with supply partners and present strategies and activities to mitigate (risks) and realise (opportunities)
- Continuous improvement projects and initiatives to reduce overall direct procurement costs and improve efficiencies
- Owns a strong strategic relationship with supply partners as well as key internal stakeholders globally, ensuring that our suppliers are supporting the objectives of H&H.
- Monitor current and future market conditions and trends that will potentially affect the cost of purchased materials and services
- Basic understanding of logistics management/warehousing and cost drivers
- Travel within the UK and globally (to suppliers/contract manufacturers)
Desired Skills and Experience:
To make sure we are setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity:
- 5+ years’ experience.
- Business Degree in relevant discipline (Procurement, Retail, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business) advantageous.
- Proficient in Excel / Power Point
