Reporting to the Senior Regulatory & Quality Affairs Manager, you will support the continued development and maintenance of an effective Quality System and ensure that products comply with applicable regulatory and industry requirements across Europe. You will coordinate product release activities, OOS investigations, deviations, complaints, and manufacturer-led investigations. You will ensure contract manufacturers adhere to Quality Agreements and manage the relationships with them, including all change control activities.
Ensure compliance of H&H standards, processes, and regulatory requirements:
- Ensure conformity of pet food and food supplement products sold in the UK and EU, taking into account all relevant standards and regulations.
- Coordinate product testing activities, including stability, microbiological testing, and palatability assessments.
- Review and maintain Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Review and evaluate formulations to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Review labelling, marketing materials, packaging, and digital documentation to ensure compliance.
- Lead preparations for inspections and audits.
- Review and investigate customer complaints.
- Engage in cross-functional activities and global projects.
- Provide quality expertise to internal stakeholders across Regulatory, Product Development, Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Digital, and Marketing teams.
- Communicate potential risks clearly and proactively, proposing appropriate solutions or alternatives.
- Support and promote brand-specific benchmark standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage safety-related reports (FSA, EFSA), internal data processing, and analysis.
- Stay up to date with regulatory and quality requirements and changes.
- Manage various business-driven projects.
- Continuously assess personal performance and discuss development through regular appraisals.
- Contribute to a positive, proactive, and collaborative workplace culture.
Minimum qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in pet food, feed or food sectors, within Manufacturing, QA, QC.
- A solid working knowledge of Quality Systems, Risk Management and Compliance.
- Knowledge of UK and EU regulatory requirements for feed or food.
- International regulatory experience is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills.
- Champion for process excellence and quality standards across operations.
- Experience in driving change, with a pragmatic and collaborative approach whilst maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficient computer skills.
- Customer service oriented with a positive, flexible and diligent approach.
