Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, the Commercial Finance Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of finance as it relates to a portfolio of our client engagements / operations. As a key business partner, the successful candidate will support their Vice President and / or Business Directors and their direct reports in driving growth and business performance by providing financial expertise and insight. The Commercial Finance Analyst will also use their technical and interpersonal skills to ensure that key governance processes and framework are adhered to. This role combines multiple financial disciplines into a single role - traditional FP+A work, Financial Operations and Sales Support for a cluster of international clients. This role operates on a blended model between our HH Global Office and home.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with operational management, ensuring a strong understanding of the business and its commercial drivers by providing regular reporting on financial performance and business KPIs.
- Proactively identifying and highlighting opportunities to improve business performance.
- Providing commercial modelling and assisting in business case building.
- Managing periodic planning and forecasting processes, supporting management with necessary analysis and guidance.
- Supporting the effectiveness of the Finance function by initiating and delivering projects and process improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the function.
- Support the continued development of our reporting suite, providing guidance and support to the business users and proactively identifying opportunities to improve clarity and understanding.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues fulfilling different roles within the wider function, including transactional finance and Group.
- Ensuring HH Globalβs financial governance frameworks are understood and adhered to.
- Providing financial support to the Sales Enablement team on new business opportunities.
- Providing ad-hoc analysis, guidance and support across all matters related to financial performance and processes.
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
- Degree educated and either qualified or towards the end of your professional qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
- Previous experience working in a large, multinational business in a Management Accountant, Finance Analyst or Commercial role.
- Strong command of Excel and experience with relevant financial systems, including ERP and reporting platforms.
- Good understanding of general accounting processes.
- Experience of cross border trading and dealing with stakeholders in multiple countries would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills; able to clearly and concisely articulate relevant information to the business and our clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions and geographies.
- Organised and proactive; able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly numerate and with an eye for detail.
