Purpose of the Job

As Senior Director of UI / UX you will lead and evolve our user experience strategy across a suite of proprietary B2B commerce technology products – this role is pivotal in shaping intuitive, scalable and AI-forward user experiences that drive measurable business outcomes.

You will lead a cross‑functional team of designers and collaborate closely with product owners, engineering and stakeholders to ensure our design systems and interfaces are not only elegant but also purposeful and user‑centric.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the UI / UX vision and roadmap across multiple enterprise products, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs
• Employ modern UX paradigms that embrace the evolving landscape of AI‑powered interfaces, encouraging experimentation and challenge legacy design assumptions
• Lead, mentor and scale a high‑performing team of UI / UX designers, researchers and prototypers – foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning
• Partner with product managers, engineers and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into user‑centered design solutions
• Oversee the development and governance of a scalable, customer‑first design system optimized for self‑serve experiences
• Lead the creation of detailed user journey maps, personas and experience flows to ensure design decisions are grounded in user research and data
• Deliver high‑fidelity prototypes and video walkthroughs using tools like Figma and other modern design platforms – clearly articulate design concepts and rationale to internal teams and external clients
• Ensure that all design efforts are focused on solving real user problems and delivering tangible business value – not just visual polish

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

• Strong experience in UI / UX design, including experience in a Leadership role
• Proven experience designing for enterprise B2B platforms, ideally in commerce or transactional systems
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user‑centered design, systems thinking and measurable impact
• Deep understanding of AI trends in UI / UX and how to apply them to real‑world product experience
• Expertise in Figma, prototyping tools and design system frameworks
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, especially with clients and executive stakeholders
• Experience working in cross‑functional product teams
