Are you a hands-on People leader who can turn strategy into delivery? At HGS, our People Services Business Partners align People strategy with business goals, manage complex employee relations, and lead projects that lift performance and culture. You will partner with senior leaders, work closely with Trade Union colleagues, use insight and analytics to guide decisions, and oversee initiatives across engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion.
This is a fixed term maternity cover and includes line management of team members with responsibility for their performance, development, and day-to-day support.

- Do you have proven experience managing complex employee relations with confidence and fairness?
- Can you lead People projects end to end, aligning them with business goals and delivering results?
- Are you skilled at turning data into insight and actions that drive better performance and employee experience?
- Can you influence senior leaders and build trusted relationships, including with Trade Unions?
- Are you ready to take on line management responsibility, coaching and developing team members?
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading People projects in talent, organisational development, and performance management.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards it)
- Strong employee relations expertise and thorough knowledge of UK employment law.
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and external partners, including Trade Unions.
- Confident people manager with experience leading and developing direct reports.
