We are seeking a curious and commercially motivated Trainee Technology & Engineering Patent Attorney to join our team, working with innovative clients across a broad range of sectors including environmental engineering, construction products, medical devices and automotive technologies. From the outset, you will work closely with experienced patent attorneys and have direct exposure to clients, helping to draft patent applications, respond to patent office reports and contribute to IP strategy.
About You
This role would suit someone with a degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace or applied Engineering. Practical engineering or IP experience is not required, but would be an advantage. You will be a strong team player who is happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved from day one. You’re confident enough to ask questions, contribute ideas and engage with colleagues and clients, while also being highly attentive to detail and quality. You take pride in your work, enjoy problem‑solving, and are motivated by learning new technical and professional skills. You enjoy working closely with clients and have the people skills to build trust, develop long‑term relationships and become a valued advisor. Above all, you’re passionate about doing the job well and growing into a trusted patent professional.
