HGA are seeking an ambitious engineering technician to become a member of our close-knit team of highly skilled and experienced professionals in an independent consultancy based in Inverness. HGA have been operating for over 20 years with a wide range of projects across a variety of sectors in the Highlands and Islands. Job Description

The successful candidate will join the civils team working under the supervision of Senior Technicians and the Company Directors in the technical design of projects from concept to completion. The job will involve:

  • Undertaking civils design and production of design drawings and documents.
  • Liaising with authorities regarding technical approvals of design.
  • Liaising with clients, design teams and contractors as part of the delivery of projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Company quality policy.

Requirements

The candidate should have the following:

  • An HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience of civil design including roads, drainage and earthworks.
  • Experience in the production and review of construction drawings.
  • A confident and proactive approach to working with clients and project teams.
  • Knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards.
  • Experience of working with drafting and analysis software such as AutoCAD, PDS and Flow.
  • Driver’s licence.
