GoodsIn Assistant/ FLT Driver – Cheadle (Temp until 31st December 2025)

Stephenson’s is an independent family business based from Stockport and with a Warehouse in Cheadle. We have been supplying the catering trade with equipment since 1868.

People are at the heart of everything we do. Over the past 20 years, we’ve seen significant growth—investing in a state-of-the-art 82,000 sq. ft. warehouse and continually expanding our team.

We’re going from strength to strength and we\’re currently recruiting a Good- In Assistant.

Role

You’ll be part of our warehouse team, helping receive, check, and store stock so it’s ready to reach our customers on time and in top condition.

Responsibilities

• Accepting and inspecting incoming deliveries
• Logging stock accurately and reporting any issues
• Safely storing goods in an organised way
• Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the warehouse

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable, motivated and eager to learn
• Positive, a team player, and takes pride in their work
• Gets it right first time, methodical, tidy, well organised & with a focus on safety
• Takes initiative without prompting & able to rapidly learn new tasks and quickly retain information to memory
• FLT (Forklift Truck) certified – desirable but not essential
• GCSE Maths & English, or equivalent.
• Warehouse or goods-in experience is helpful. Full training will be provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40.75 per week
