We are looking for a committed and skilled Secondary School Maths Teacher to join our client's team in Rochdale. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach GCSE Mathematics to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curriculum.
- Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE examinations, ensuring strong progress for all learners.
- Assess, track, and record student achievement using school systems.
- Differentiating teaching to meet the needs of high-achievers, SEN students, and those requiring additional support.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, creating a respectful and positive classroom environment.
- Use a range of teaching methods and digital tools to support learning and raise attainment.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students reach their potential.
- Attend departmental and whole-school meetings, training, and professional development sessions.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues about student progress.
- Contribute to the wider maths department through curriculum development and resource sharing.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of the secondary maths curriculum and GCSE assessment requirements.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
