HGV Class 1 Drivers – Ernesettle, Plymouth, PL5 2SADAY Tramping | Immediate startsLooking for reliable HGV driving work in Ernesettle, PlymouthJoin HG Recruitment and benefit from competitive pay, weekly wages and regular, ongoing shifts with our established client.
Pay Rates: holiday pay is accruedDays £15.00Nights £17.75Saturday £17.75Sunday £20.50***Estimated weekly pay £976 based on 55 hrs***The roleClass 1 driving work supporting North Tawton, Cullompton and Ernesettle depots , as required.
Complete collections and deliveries across the UK using curtain-sided vehicles.
Deliver directly to customer and commercial sites.
Secure loads safely using ratchet straps and complete manual handling where required.
Use a handheld PDA to record deliveries and complete relevant paperwork.
Maintain regular communication with the transport team throughout your shift.
Nights away will form part of the role depending on the route.
Follow all site, transport and health & safety procedures.
RequirementsYou must have: Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence .Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card .Previous experience delivering to customer sites is desirable.
Good knowledge of UK road networks.
Comfortable with manual handling as part of the role.
Professional and confident when dealing with customers.
Reliable, flexible and able to work independently.
