Rate of Pay: £120 - £170 daily rate based on experience

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join our client’s secondary school team based in Manchester. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality PE lessons to students, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles. The role involves inspiring students to participate in a wide range of sports, supporting their personal development, and contributing to extracurricular sporting activities.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons that meet the school curriculum and examination requirements (e.g., GCSE, BTEC, A-Level).
- Develop students' physical skills, knowledge of fitness, and understanding of health and well-being.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and reports to parents and guardians.
- Promote participation in sports and encourage teamwork, leadership, and fair play.
- Organize, supervise, and lead extracurricular activities, sports teams, competitions, and events.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students during lessons and extracurricular activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental schemes of work and teaching resources.
- Collaborate with colleagues on school initiatives and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching PE at the secondary level is desirable.
- Knowledge of a wide range of sports, fitness activities, and PE teaching methods.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
