HG Recruitment are looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 HGV Driver to join our client, Unipart, on a national tramping contract. This role involves working Monday morning to Friday night, covering routes across the UK. You will be tramping throughout the week and spending nights in a modern sleeper cab at service stations.
Pay Rates (PAYE)
- Days: £17.70
- Nights: £18.81
- Weekends: £26.56
- Night Out Allowance: £25 per night

The Role
- Driving & Delivering: Operate articulated HGVs (CE) for national deliveries (forklift-only stock)
- Loading & Unloading: Secure all loads safely to prevent transit damage
- Route Planning: Plan routes effectively, adapting to traffic and weather conditions
- Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with site personnel and deliver excellent service
- Compliance: Complete all vehicle checks, report defects, and follow road safety and company procedures
Requirements
- Full Class 1 (CE) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- Understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
- Positive, reliable, and safety-focused attitude
