RATES:
- PAYE with accrued holidays
- Days: £16.68 per hour
- Afternoons: £16.68 per hour PLUS a shift allowance of £6.69 PAID PER SHIFT
- Saturdays: £18.04 per hour
- Sundays: £20.07 per hour
- Overtime payable after 10.35 hours daily - £20.80 per hour
- Estimated weekly pay based on 50 hours: £867
- Expected annual earnings: £45,084
DUTIES:
- Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Securing the load of the trailer to minimise chances of damage.
- Providing excellent customer service and taking ownership of customer issues on delivery.
- Carrying out multi-drop deliveries to stores within the delivery window in a safe manner.
- Flexibility to help other Screwfix sites with store deliveries and trunking where necessary using cages, trolleys, and stillages.
- Taking collections of empty cages/trolleys back to depot.
- Being aware of any vehicle defects and bringing them to the attention of the Transport Office as necessary.
- Possessing excellent customer-facing awareness skills.
- Being a good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised.
- Having an enthusiastic and reliable attitude towards delivering first-class customer service.
- Possessing good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work.
Requirements:
- HGV Class 1 Cat CE licence (minimum 2 years).
- Digi Tacho & CPC cards.
- Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements.
- Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Drivers Hours).
- Good national geographical awareness.
- Excellent customer-facing awareness skills.
- Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised.
- Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first-class customer service.
- Good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work.
