HG Recruitment are looking for reliable, professional Class 1 HGV Day Drivers to join the team at our client Unipart. Delivering on two main contracts, one is a drop and swap trailer from Cowley to Woking 2 routes per shift. Averaging 8-10 hour days. The other, is a multi-drop contract delivering to stores. No handball. Maximum 6 deliveries including collections. Averaging 9-12 hour shifts.
Youll be joining a friendly and supportive transport team where safety, respect, and teamwork come first.
This role involves Monday to Friday work with some optional overtime available on a Saturday. Start times from Cowley 3am 5.30am.
Pay Rates (PAYE)
- Days: Β£17.70 β Β£19.70 per hour
- Weekends: Β£26.56 β Β£28.56 per hour

The Role
- Driving & Delivering: Operate articulated HGVs (C+E) for national deliveries (forklift-only stock).
- Loading & Unloading: Secure all loads safely to prevent transit damage.
- Route Planning: Plan routes effectively, adapting to traffic and weather conditions.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with site personnel and deliver excellent service.
- Compliance: Complete all vehicle checks, report defects, and follow road safety and company procedures.
Requirements
- Full Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- Understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
- Positive, reliable, and safety-focused attitude
