HG Recruitment are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers for ongoing work involving a mixture of multidrop and trunking work for our client based in Bolton. The role involves clean and straightforward delivery to distribution centres.

Rates:

  • Class 1 (approx. £831.05 weekly, circa £43,214.60 per annum on days)
  • Class 1 days - £14.41
  • Class 1 days (after 12 weeks) - £15.11
  • Class 1 nights - £15.92
  • Class 1 nights (after 12 weeks) - £16.62
  • Class 2 (approx. £780.45 weekly, circa £40,582.80 per annum on days)
  • Class 2 days - £13.49
  • Class 2 days (after 12 weeks) - £14.19
  • Class 2 nights - £14.91
  • Class 2 nights (after 12 weeks) - £15.61

Duties:

  • Driving and Delivering: Operate articulated lorries (HGVs) over 3.5 tonnes, transporting goods to various locations, including local and national deliveries.
  • Loading and Unloading: Supervise the loading of vehicles to ensure that all items are secured properly for transit, minimising the risk of damage.
  • Route Planning: Plan delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival at destinations, adapting to traffic and weather conditions as necessary.
  • Customer Interaction: Maintain regular contact with site personnel and provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies, including vehicle maintenance checks and reporting any issues.

Requirements:

  • HGV C+E (Class 1 or Class 2) licence
  • Digi Tacho & CPC cards
  • Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements
  • Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Driver’s Hours)
  • Good national geographical awareness
