ROLE: Sewing Machinist Operative
LOCATION: Exhall, Coventry, CV6 6RH
RATE OF PAY: £12.21 PAYE with holiday pay
HOURS OF WORK: 07:30-16:15 Mon-Thurs, 07:30-12:30 Fri
This is a temporary role with the possibility of a permanent contract.
DUTIES:
- Operating industrial sewing machines in a fast-paced production setting
- Sewing a range of materials to required specifications
- Carrying out twin needle sewing, top sewing, flat sewing, and overlocking
- Ensuring consistently high-quality workmanship
- Completing regular sewing machine checks and basic maintenance
- Working to production targets and deadlines
- Following health & safety and quality procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist or similar role
- Experience with twin needle machines, top sewing, flat sewing and overlock machines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and undertake training where required
- Good timekeeping and reliability
