HG Recruitment are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support one of the UK's leading supermarket distribution operations based in Bedford.
Location: ASDA Distribution Centre, Marsh Leys Cottages, Farm Woburn Road, Kempston, Bedford, MK43 9AB
Pay Rates (Parity Rates Applicable to All Drivers Until the End of August):
- Days (06:00-14:00): £17.96/hr Standard, £24.88/hr Overtime, £35.92/hr Bank Holiday
- Back Shift (14:00-22:00): £20.30/hr Standard, £27.22/hr Overtime, £40.60/hr Bank Holiday
- Nights (22:00-06:00): £21.66/hr Standard, £28.58/hr Overtime, £43.32/hr Bank Holiday

Estimated Earnings:
- 45-hour week (Night Shift): Up to £975 per week
- Expected annual earnings exceeding £50,000 (dependent on shift pattern and overtime)
The Role:
Join one of the UK's largest supermarket distribution operations with HG Recruitment. We are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing work delivering ambient and chilled products to ASDA stores. You'll primarily drive Class 1 vehicles, with occasional Class 2 work when required, all paid at the full Class 1 rate.
- Supermarket store deliveries across the region.
- Ambient and chilled products.
- Class 1 store deliveries with trailer bay unloading.
- Occasional Class 2 deliveries to smaller stores, including cage deliveries and collections.
- Daily vehicle checks, electronic PODs and compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.
- Any 5 days from 7 with regular weekend work.
- Typical start times: 22:00-03:00.

Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience.
- Willing to complete Class 2 work when required (paid at Class 1 rate).
- Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only).
- Good knowledge of Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.
- Reliable, professional and customer focused.
- Weekend availability is essential.
