HG Recruitment are hiring a CLASS 1 HGV DRIVER (NIGHTS) for a long-term, high-value client in the Bristol area.
This is a night trunking/delivery role, with start times typically between 22:00 and 23:00. The role involves delivering to retailer lock-ups, using a pump truck, with some handballing required, although the majority of deliveries are via cages. Shifts are typically 10-12 hours, depending on run location. This is a temporary role with a view to becoming a permanent position. Full induction training will be provided.
DUTIES:
- Carrying out night deliveries to retailer lock-ups safely and efficiently
- Using pump trucks to move cages, with some manual handling where required
- Ensuring loads are secure and transported without damage
- Adhering to all safe working practices and driver regulations
- Reporting any vehicle defects to the Transport Office
- Providing a professional and reliable service at all delivery points

- Physically able to carry out some manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Good communication skills and a flexible attitude
