The role involves general transport office duties, including data entry, driver debriefs, and providing administrative support to the transport management team.
We are seeking organised and proactive individuals with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ideally some experience within a transport or logistics environment.

How will you contribute?
- Reporting to the Transport Team Managers
- Complete pre-brief and dispatching drivers to adhere to the planning schedule.
- De-brief process with the drivers at the end of their shift.
- Ensure all relevant information is gathered on time, accurately and in the correct format.
- Assist in an effective and efficient transport administration service.
- Undertake general duties that support the Transport Team Managers, i.e. answering the phone, issuing vehicle keys, allocating work, updating Microlise.
- Check daily delivery documents to ensure correct store delivery and highlight issues as appropriate.
- Assist in investigations and disciplinary meetings as a note taker.
- Focus on delivering and demonstrating sound planning and control skills to achieve targets as well as working with colleagues to achieve continuous improvement.
- Complete data entry, monitor vehicle movements via the automatic process of the site computer vehicle management system.
- Produce weekly reports for line management team in connection to the vehicle management system escalating any issues to line management.
- Manually process amendments to manage the system and ease vehicle movements.
- Undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function and department.

- Experience of working within a transport environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of computerised scheduling packages would be an advantage.
- Ability to work on your own initiative, working to strict deadlines.
- A good communicator both verbal and written.
- Excellent PC skills.
- Must be adaptable to assist in all areas with a flexible team-based approach.
- To be responsible for the health and safety of themselves and other colleagues by adhering to safe working practices.
- Must be punctual, reliable and committed to achieving daily and weekly KPIs.
