HG Recruitment are looking for HGV Drivers Class 1 and Class 2 for ongoing work involving a mixture of multidrop and trunking work for our client based in Crewe. The role involves clean and straightforward delivery to distribution centres, working for a very well established parcel delivery company.
Class 1 Driver days: £15.11 or £16.93 (approx. £831.05 weekly, circa £43,214.60 per annum)
Class 1 Driver nights: £16.62 or £18.63 (approx. £914.10 weekly, circa £47,533.20 per annum)
Class 2 Driver days: £14.60 or £16.36 (approx. £803.00 weekly, circa £41,756.00 per annum)
Class 2 Driver nights: £16.35 or £18.32 (approx. £899.25 weekly, circa £46,761.00 per annum)

- Driving and Delivering: Operate articulated lorries (HGVs) over 3.5 tonnes, transporting goods to various locations, including local and national deliveries
- Loading and Unloading: Supervise the loading of vehicles to ensure that all items are secured properly for transit, minimising the risk of damage
- Route Planning: Plan delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival at destinations, adapting to traffic and weather conditions as necessary
- Customer Interaction: Maintain regular contact with site personnel and provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
- Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies, including vehicle maintenance checks and reporting any issues
- HGV C+E (Class 1 or Class 2) licence
- Digi Tacho & CPC cards
- Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements
- Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Drivers Hours)
- Good national geographical awareness
