Job Description

We are recruiting! Join us as a Learning Disability Female Support Worker and help build a future where learning disabled people live their best lives.

We understand that life can be complicated for everyone, but some individuals face additional challenges in achieving their dreams. Many learning disabled people lack access to support, employment opportunities, and the ability to pursue hobbies they enjoy. You can make a difference.

What we offer

  • Location: New Malden
  • Service type: 8 Bed Residential Services
  • Address: Thetford Rd, New Malden KT3 5DN
  • Salary: £ per hour
  • Working hours: Various shifts including early, late, and alternate weekends
  • Sleep-ins at the service are paid at £ plus **
  • Holidays: 33 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Pay incentives: 10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% for key dates over Christmas
  • Training & development: Fully funded Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care
  • Benefits: Health, retail, and cash incentives

Responsibilities

You will support individuals in daily activities such as shopping, outdoor activities, personal care, attending events, and building confidence in using public transport and managing money. Your role is to help them discover new interests, achieve goals, and maintain relationships.

You will provide high standards of care, listen to their needs, assist with medication, cooking, and building confidence for new adventures. Flexibility in shifts helps balance work and home life. A full driving license is preferred but not essential.

This position is covered by The Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, Occupational Requirements.
