We’re looking for a Data, Performance and Insights Lead to join our IT and Systems team and play a key role in helping Hft make better use of its data. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can turn complex data into clear, meaningful insight that helps people make better decisions. You’ll lead our approach to organisational reporting, dashboards, KPIs and performance insight, working with colleagues across Hft to ensure our data tells us not just what is happening, but what it means and what we can do about it. About the role Reporting to the Head of IT and Systems, you’ll lead the development of Hft’s data, performance and insight capabilities across both strategic and operational areas of the organisation. You’ll work closely with teams and subject matter experts across our business systems to understand reporting requirements, bring together data from different sources and create accessible dashboards and reporting tools. A key part of your role will be developing and maintaining an organisational dashboard that gives leaders a clear view of performance against our priorities and KPIs. You’ll also provide high-quality reporting and insight to our Leadership Team and Board of Trustees, helping them understand performance and make evidence-based decisions. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how Hft uses data, championing a more data-informed culture and building confidence and capability across the organisation. What you’ll be doing • Lead Hft’s approach to using data and insight to inform strategic and operational decision-making. • Develop interactive Power BI dashboards, KPI reporting and performance tools for different audiences across the organisation. • Create clear and meaningful reporting for the Executive Team and Board of Trustees. • Bring together data from multiple business systems and sources to provide consistent, organisation-wide insight. • Work with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate these into effective reporting and actionable insight. • Identify opportunities to improve the way Hft collects, manages and uses data. • Lead cross-organisational data and reporting improvement projects. • Develop guidance, documentation and consistent reporting standards. • Train and support colleagues to build their confidence in using data and reporting tools. • Explore predictive and trend reporting where this can add value. • Provide advice around system changes where data and reporting are an important consideration. • Promote high standards of data quality, governance, integrity and GDPR compliance. • Champion the responsible and ethical use of data, including emerging technologies and AI. • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support organisational priorities. About you We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical and analytical capability with the ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels. You’ll have experience of designing and producing interactive dashboards, KPI reporting and organisational insight, ideally using Power BI and semantic models. You’ll be confident working with multiple business systems and different data sources, understanding how these can be brought together to create consistent and meaningful organisational reporting. You’ll also be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, taking complex requirements and turning them into clear, practical insight that people can understand and use. You’ll bring: • Strong analytical skills and experience working with Power BI and data models. • Experience developing dashboards, KPI reporting and organisational performance insight. • Experience improving reporting and supporting better organisational decision-making. • Experience working with multiple systems and data sources. • The ability to interpret utilisation analytics and evaluate the effectiveness of reporting. • Experience translating business requirements into meaningful reporting and insight. • A strategic mindset, with the ability to move between the big picture and operational detail. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • A collaborative, resilient and adaptable approach. • The ability to bring people with you and build confidence in the use of data Working arrangements This is a full-time, 12 month Fixed term contract role (with the possibility of a permanent contract for4 the right individual) remote (UK)/home based role.
