We're looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Accounts Assistant (Sales Ledger) to join our Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong sales ledger or accounts receivable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering an accurate, efficient and customer-focused service.
As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for processing and allocating cash receipts, reconciling accounts, managing sales ledger queries and supporting effective accounts receivable processes. You'll work closely with colleagues across Finance, including Management Accountants, and build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
What you'll be doing:
- Posting and allocating cash receipts accurately against customer accounts.
- Reconciling transactions and investigating any discrepancies.
- Managing the Sales Ledger inbox and responding promptly to customer and stakeholder queries.
- Working closely with Management Accountants and operational teams to resolve account issues.
- Building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and support continuous improvement across the Sales Ledger function.
About you:
You'll have previous sales ledger or accounts receivable experience, excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. You'll be confident using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment. You'll also have excellent communication skills, enjoy working collaboratively and be able to work independently using your own initiative.
