Here at the Hollies Farm Shop we’re looking for a hands‑on, people‑focused FOH/Kitchen Assistant to join our vibrant team. This is a dynamic split role where you will be both front‑of‑house service and kitchen support, ensuring every guest enjoys exceptional food and a warm, memorable experience. You’ll be the link between the Front of house and kitchen pass, providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards to deliver excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming experience
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and allergens
- Handle customer payments with care and accuracy
- Resolve customer concerns politely and professionally
- Food & Beverage Service
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to company standards
- Serve food items in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Restock displays, fridges, and service areas as needed
- Cleanliness & Organisation
- Maintain cleanliness of all takeaway areas, including counters, equipment, indoor seating area, external seating area
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times, including wearing aprons, hair tied back, hand washing, no eating (hand to mouth)
- Assist with all opening and closing duties, including Logit records
- Team Support
- Work collaboratively with baristas and kitchen staff
- Follow instructions from supervisors and managers
- Support smooth daily operations during busy periods
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Basic cash handling skills
- Good time management and attention to detail
