The Asbestos Analyst role at HFS ENVIRONMENTAL LIMITED is a full-time position, mainly operating in London and surrounding counties. The Asbestos Analyst will conduct air monitoring and four-stage clearance testing in accordance with relevant legislation, guidance, and company procedures. Daily tasks include site inspections, collecting and analysing samples, preparing clear, accurate reports, and communicating findings to clients and project managers. The role involves working on active construction and refurbishment sites, ensuring all asbestos-related risks are identified, monitored, and controlled.

Qualifications:

  • Recognised asbestos qualifications (e.g., BOHS P403/P404 or equivalent) and proven experience in asbestos air monitoring and clearance procedures.
  • Strong understanding of UK asbestos regulations, HSE guidance, and safe working practices on construction and refurbishment sites.
  • Ability to produce accurate technical reports, maintain detailed records, and use relevant software and digital reporting tools.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, site personnel and internal teams.
  • High level of attention to detail, reliability, and a methodical approach to sampling, analysis and documentation.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites.
  • Comfortable working in PPE on a range of site conditions, with a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
