Are you highly organised, detail-driven, and confident working with numbers in a busy environment? We're looking for a proactive Finance Administrator to join our friendly and fast-paced team in Leeds Birstall Vets for Pets 24/7 Hospital.
The Role
This is a key role at the heart of the practice, ensuring our financial processes run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently while supporting excellent care for our clients and their pets. You'll work closely with both the management and clinical teams, playing an important part in maintaining financial integrity and delivering outstanding service. We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency. You'll be a key part of a supportive team that values collaboration, professionalism, and great client care. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily banking, petty cash management, and payment reconciliation
- Managing client accounts, debt control, and responding to financial queries
- Processing insurance claims (direct and indirect) within required timeframes
- Monitoring pre-authorisation and direct claim payments
- Updating and maintaining financial spreadsheets and debt reports
- Chasing outstanding payments and invoices
- Processing and allocating direct credits
- Supporting care plan queries, cancellations, and related finance tasks
- Handling finance-related emails and correspondence
- Maintaining accurate financial records in line with practice procedures
About You
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Confident using spreadsheets and practice management systems
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Experience in a veterinary, healthcare, or service-based environment is desirable but not essential
