As a result of our continued growth and success in the insurance market, Hamilton Fraser are seeking an ambitious and driven account handler to join our team in Borehamwood. As a Hamilton Fraser team mate, we will rely on you to put our customers at the heart of everything you do; managing a portfolio of our commercial clients, providing them with advice alongside supporting our Account Executives in delivering world class service to our customers.
The Day To Day:
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with insurer partners, affiliates and other third parties.
- Actively contact prospective clients to offer Professional Indemnity insurance and additional policy extensions.
- Act on opportunities to promote additional cover benefits i.e., Cyber, Public Liability etc.
- Actively develop cross selling opportunities within the various departments of HFIS Group.
- Ensure all documentation issued and actions taken fall within the agreed service standards and FCA regulations.
- Keep up to date with industry news and developments ensuring that your technical knowledge is kept current.
- Assist with the preparation of external events and exhibitions and attending these where required.
- Act in accordance with the agreed procedures and protocols under Delegated Authority Schemes.
- Maintain and enhance existing/new client relationships ensuring that the premium income contributes to the achievement of your own and the departmental financial targets.

About You:
- Experience in a Commercial Insurance environment as well as knowledge of Professional Indemnity Insurance and knowledge of acturis system is advantageous. General SME experience will also be considered.
- A proven sales focussed approach to client relationships whilst ensuring excellent customer service and advice is always provided.
- Cert CII or significant progress towards the qualification would be advantageous.
- A good level of both written and spoken English is required, as well as excellent numerical skills.
- Excellent inter-personal and telephone skills with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely with others.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-moving environment.
- Sound IT skills, particularly MS Office products, with the ability to learn new systems and procedures.
- Able to meet deadlines and manage own workload.
