Healthcare Assistance (HFH Healthcare)

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 non‑invasive ventilation (NIV) support and personal care to a client with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, including repositioning, transfers, and assistance with respiratory function.
  • Assist with PEG feeding and cough‑assist equipment during night shifts (22:00–07:00).
  • Communicate effectively with the client using audio or voice‑activated systems to call for assistance.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated core team of carers, staying on one client per shift and ensuring continuity of care.

Qualifications

  • Experience with cough‑assist/NIV and PEG feeding preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage sensitive handling of clients with limited mobility.
  • Good communication skills and empathy toward vulnerable clients.

  • Typical client requires ongoing 24‑hour care with a small core team.
  • Average shift 12 hours; average three shifts (36 hrs) per week.
  • Estimated weekly earnings ÂŁ500–555.
  • Direct PAYE employment—no limited company or self‑employed status required.
  • Inclusive of holiday pay per hour worked.
