We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant to support a gentleman in his late 40s who is deaf and has a tracheostomy. Carers must know British Sign Language and be fluent in Somali.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day personal care and support
  • Assist with tracheostomy care (training can be provided if needed)
  • Communicate effectively using sign language
  • Support with daily routines, including meal preparation and household tasks
  • Accompany to appointments or outings when required
  • Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing at all times
Essential Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate using sign language
  • Fluent in Somali (spoken and/or signed as appropriate)
  • At least 6 months healthcare experience
Job Type: Full Time and Part Time available
Salary: £12.50 - £16.00 per hour
Schedule: 10-12 hour shifts available

Our client base requires ongoing care, 24 hours a day, with a continuity of a small core team of regular care staff. Specialist carers work with one client per shift and do not travel between multiple homes. The average shift is 12 hours. We provide work that meets your availability; a typical carer works three shifts (36 hours) per week for us and earns approximately £500 - £555 per week. This three-day-a-week pattern equates to an average annual income of between £26,200 and £28,950. We employ all staff directly and manage all aspects of your pay via PAYE, protecting you from breaching IR35 tax regulations. Rates shown include holiday pay, which is accumulated per hour worked.
