As a Clinical Training Practitioner, you will design, deliver, and evaluate clinical training programmes for healthcare staff across the organisation. Using your professional nursing expertise, you will ensure staff are trained in line with current best practice, clinical guidance, and regulatory requirements. A key part of this role will be delivering specialist clinical training to staff supporting individuals with complex healthcare needs. This is an office-based role located in Wimbledon, delivering in-person training sessions and supporting staff development within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate clinical training programmes for healthcare staff.
  • Deliver mandatory and specialist clinical training, including:
  • Tracheostomy care and management
  • Suctioning and airway management
  • Paediatric care training
  • Spinal injury care training
  • Seizure and epilepsy management
  • PEG feeding and enteral feeding management
  • Medication administration and management
  • Infection prevention and control
  • Safeguarding
  • Moving and handling
  • Basic life support and emergency response
  • Provide competency assessments for staff supporting individuals with complex clinical needs.
  • Support clinical induction and onboarding for new staff members.
  • Work closely with clinical leaders and service managers to identify training and development needs.
  • Ensure training programmes align with current legislation, evidence-based practice, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate training records and contribute to training compliance monitoring.
  • Support the continuous review and improvement of clinical training materials and programmes.
  • About You - Essential Requirements
    • Registered Nurse with active registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council).
    • Demonstrable clinical experience supporting individuals with tracheostomies and complex airway management needs.
    • Experience delivering training in complex care areas such as paediatric care, spinal injury care, seizure management, and PEG feeding.
    • Experience delivering clinical training, mentoring, or supporting staff development.
    • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
    • Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and best practice standards.
    Desirable
    • Teaching or training qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent).
    • Experience developing training materials or clinical workshops.
    • Experience within community healthcare, complex care, or homecare services.
    • Experience conducting competency assessments and clinical supervision.
