About the Role
You’ll be providing one to one assistance, helping our client maintain an independent and fulfilling lifestyle. This includes personal care, mobility support, and assistance with travel and everyday logistics - whether it’s packing for a weekend art retreat or attending an important lecture after work.
- Hands on manual handling experience; the role involves regular physical tasks, so prior experience with manual handling would be ideal.
- Good core strength, as some tasks may involve lone manual handling; good physical strength is required.
- Competent and confident driver; you must hold a valid driver’s licence and feel confident operating a large, wheelchair accessible van.
Key Responsibilities
- Discreet and respectful personal care support
- Assistance with mobility and daily routines
- Accompanying to work, university, exhibitions and social events
- Supporting with trips in the UK and abroad
- Supporting with time and energy management for work, study, and social life
- Light housekeeping, healthy meal prep, and medication reminders
- Being a calm, capable, tidy, and thoughtful presence
What We’re Looking For
- A confident, proactive and adaptable individual with excellent organisational skills
- Experience for the role is not necessary, but a willingness to learn is essential.
- Good spoken and written English
- A strong sense of discretion and emotional intelligence
- Commitment to work on a rotational basis to be agreed (i.e 2 weeks on/2 weeks off)
- Happy to travel and enjoy a changing routine
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be able to undertake business travel across mainland Europe.
